Smaller growing large shrub or small tree to 3 mtrs.
Numerous bright fuchsia-pink to reddish coloured flowers borne in panicles to 20 cm long and 17 cm wide in mid-summer to early autumn. Flowers for up to 75 days in warmer areas. The removal of spent inflorescences during autumn or winter can promote greater flower production the following summer.
And of course the well know feature of the bark and stems!
