Salvia splendens ‘Van Houttii’ Red.

Shrubby perennial, Attractive tubular crimson/maroon with a light plum glow flowers, calyx a deeper maroon red. Long flowering from summer into winter.

Best grown in sheltered position away from strong winds and sun/frost. Morning sun or part shade preferred. Stunning in full bloom out of direct sun, remove spent flowers to promote extended flowering. Prune by 1/3 annually.
