Viburnum tinus (Laurustinus) makes a popular informal hedge or single feature plant. It has evergreen dark green leaves and heads of small white flowers in late winter/early spring followed by small blue-black berries. Not fussy about soil type they will grow in sun or shade in moist but well drained soil. Trim in late winter. Untrimmed mature height x spread to 3m(10ft).
