Description

DESCRIPTION: Leafy evergreen shrub with shiny dark green leaves. Tiny, sweetly scented cream flowers in winter, followed by shiny red-black berries.
USE IN:  Hedging and screening, formal gardens and containers, winter gardens, urban street-side gardens, for its fragrance.
LOCATION: Plant in part shade to full shade in fertile moist soil. Will grow in dry shade; in sunny situations will need regular watering. Tolerates most soil types. Very frost hardy once established.
CARE: Mulch and water well when planting. Continue to water regularly for the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established. Fertilise during Spring and prune as required to maintain form.
