Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Blue Prince’ or ‘Blauer Prinz’.
One of our favorites. In an acid soil it’s simply a stupedous cobalt blue in small round heads with pointed sepals. 1.25m x 1.25m. Flowers in proportions to plant. If you have acid soil and want a true blue then this is it. Excellent cut flower too.
Bred by F. Matthes, Germany 1925. Very close substitute for Blauer Zwerg or vise versa.
