Sisyrinchium angustifolium, Devon Skies “Blue eyed grass”
Ideal for small gardens, pots and patios. Or planted in mass groups for excellent display. Great for growing in a rockeries, as an edging plant, in rock crevices, tubs or at the front of the border.
Stunningly detailed light blue flowers on clumps of strappy, Iris-like foliage in summer. The flowers are bright yellow-eye in the centres and with delicate green veining. It’s a beautiful thing that won’t seed itself everywhere and become a nuisance. Prefers full sunshine and a well-drained soil. About 12cm (5″) high.
