Description
Hebe buxifolia Box leaf Hebe – The one known as Boxwood Hebe is widely grown in Australian gardens. The name is derived for its resemblance to
the common boxwood plant.
This
is a small evergreen shrub which can grow to 3Â’ in height. The oval-leafed hebes have opposite pairs of
leaves that are oriented at 90 degrees to each other which lends a great
textural look. Leaves are glossy green. White bloom
extends throughout late spring – early Autumn. This plant is attractive to bees,
butterflies and/or birds
Adaptation:
This cultivar of Hebe prefers well drained soil with moderate water, particularly while becoming established.
Full sun preferred and drought/frost tolerant once established.
